Dental Examinations
Each examination at Transcend Dental Health is an opportunity for our staff to monitor your overall health as well as your oral health. We know how intimately the health of your mouth is connected to the health of every system in your body.
If you are in pain when you arrive, the first action is to relieve your pain as quickly as possible and take up any preventative or restorative actions at a later time.
Otherwise, during your initial dental examination with Dr. Chang or a hygienist, information will be carefully collected about any current or past health conditions. Additionally, detailed imaging will provide information on any hidden health problems that might exist in teeth or bones.
Dr. Chang will then present you with all the information needed for you to make a fully-informed decision on dental treatment options.
Saliva and Plaque
By analyzing your saliva and the plaque in your mouth, it’s possible to detect harmful bacteria that could be causing health problems.
Biocompatibility of Materials
Biocompatibility testing is a blood test that reveals which dental materials are most compatible and least toxic for you.
